Expanding The Station at Central Park
The success of The Station at Central Park in Moore highlights the vibrant and engaged community the city has cultivated.
This ambitious project was made possible by a citizen-approved bond referendum in 2012, showcasing the community's commitment to enhancing quality of life. TAP Architecture collaborated with RDG Planning & Design to master plan a 50-acre park, which features a 60,000-square-foot recreation facility and a 30,000-square-foot aquatic center.
The Station offers a wide range of amenities to residents, including a state-of-the-art workout facility with on-site childcare, rentable meeting and event spaces, educational and hobby classes, outdoor aquatics during the summer, scenic walking trails, and outdoor pavilions.
Since its completion in 2016, The Station has remained in excellent condition thanks to the dedication of its hardworking staff. Membership numbers have consistently exceeded expectations, prompting the city to expand the facility to meet growing demand. This year, a $6 million, 13,000-square-foot expansion was completed, with a forward-thinking design that allows for additional future growth to the north if needed.
Congratulations to the City of Moore and its residents on this remarkable achievement!
